Day : 1 Arrive Chennai
On your arrival at International Airport, you will be met by our company representatives and transferred to your hotel for rest. Rest of the day at leisure for independent activities.

Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, is known as the 'Gateway to South India'. Chennai is popular for its rich historical and cultural heritage, clearly visible in its hundreds of amazing temples and historic monuments. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Chennai.

Day : 02 Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mamallapuram
After breakfast at hotel, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Chennai. Visit the famous Mariana Beach, Fort St. George, Fort Museum, Valluvar Kottam, Snake Park, Kapaleeswarar Temple, Santhome Cathedral, among other attractions of Chennai.
After lunch proceed to Kanchipuram.

Kanchipuram, the ancient capital of the Pallavas, is famous as the city of 1000 temples (still has 124 temples). Kanchipuram is also famous for silk. See the amazingly beautiful temples of Kanchipuram famous for their architectural richness. The first temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was built between the 7th and 8th century and has interesting paintings on the walls.
Thereafter, we drive to Mamallapuram (also known as Mahabalipuram).

Mahabalipuram is the 7th century port town of south India. The town is famous for its rock-cut and monolithic temple architecures. It's also a UNESCO world Heritage Site. Visit the famous Arjuna's Penance, the Shore Temple and the Pancha Rathas (Five Chariots) - five monolithic pyramidal structures named after the legendary Pandavas. Arrive and check into the Beach Resort for overnight stay.

Day : 03 Mamallapuram - Chennai - Kodaikanal
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Mamallapuram to see the 7th century Pallavas monuments. Thereafter, return to the resort and relax on the beach.

Evening, we drive to Chennai Railway Station to board an overnight train to Kodaikanal. Overnight stay will be onboard the train.

Day : 04 Kodaikanal
Early morning arrival at Kodai Station and we proceed to Kodaikanal by road. Check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Located amidst the scenic Palani Hills at an altitude of over 2,100 m above the sea level, Kodaikanal is one of the most beautiful and serene hill stations of south India. Set amidst the most enchanting surroundings of lush green slopes, mighty rocks, enchanting waterfalls and a beautiful lake, Kodaikanal never fails to mesmerize its visitors.

In the evening, enjoy an exciting boating on the beautiful Kodai Lake. Overnight stay will be at Kodaikanal.

Day : 05 Kodaikanal
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kodaikanal. Visit the famous Coakers Walk, Pillar Rocks, Bryant Park and Kurinji Andavar Temple. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Kodaikanal.

Day : 06 Kodaikanal - Thekkady (Periyar)
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to the famous Periyar wildlife Sanctuary. Arrive and check into the Forest Lodge /Resort. In the evening, enjoy a memorable launch trip on the beautiful Periyar Lake for wildlife viewing. Overnight stay will be at the Forest Lodge /Resort.

Day : 07 Thekkady
Breakfast at the Lodge /Resort. Rest of the day at leisure. Explore the rich and diverse flora and fauna of Periyar through a Jeep or Elephant Safari (on your own). Optional: You can choose to enjoy launch trip again, at dawn. Overnight stay will be at the Forest Lodge /Resort.

Day 08 : Thekkady - Kottayam - Cochin
After breakfast, we drive to reach Kottayam. Arrive at Kottayam and enjoy a memorable houseboat cruise on the palm fringed scenic backwaters up to Cochin. Arrive and check in top the hotel at Cochin in the evening.

Also famous as Kochi, Cochin is one of the most famous historical cities of Kerala. Cochin is also famous for its exceptionally beautiful backwaters and beaches.
Overnight stay will be at Cochin.

Day 09 : Cochin - Trivandrum - Kovalam
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Cochin. Visit the famous Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace), Bolghatty Palace, St. Francis Church and the Jewish Synagogue. Also see the giant Chinese Fishing Nets being lowered on the famous Vasco Da Gama Square, offering a spectacular view to its visitors.

In the afternoon, we drive to Kovalam. Kovalam is one of the finest beach destinations of south India famous for its clean and beautiful golden beaches and enchanting surroundings of swaying coconut palms. Arrive at Kovalam and check into the beach resort. Overnight stay will be at Kovalam.

Day 10 : Kovalam
Breakfast at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy lazing and sunbathing on the cool golden beaches of Kovalam.

Day 11 : Kovalam - Trivandrum - Tour Ends
After breakfast, depart Kovalam and proceed to Trivandrum to board an in time flight to your onward destination or way back home with sweet memories of South India Tour.
